Seth Griffith Named AHL Player of the Week

Today, the AHL announced that forward Seth Griffith of the Bakersfield Condors has been selected as the AHL Player of the Week for the weekend ending April 7, 2024. 

The Condors’ leading scorer is currently on an eight-game scoring streak with a 1.625 point-per-game, equaling a total of 13 points since March 22. Last week, Griffith scored seven points in three games. Four of those points came in Saturday’s 5-2 win over the Calgary Wranglers. This was his third four-point game and 14th multi-point game during the 2023-24 season. 

Griffith currently is fifth in the league with 61 points and third with 46 assists. Having played 63 games this season, he is performing at just under a point per game. Whether Griffith is scoring goals or setting up plays, he has been a major asset for the Condors this season.

On Wednesday night, the Condors punched their ticket to the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs with a 4-1 win over the Tucson RoadrunnersAs it currently stands, Bakersfield has 78 points and is sixth in the Pacific Division. With five games left in the regular season, they could end the season between second and seventh in the Pacific. Regardless of how the rest of the regular season shakes out, the Condors will not have a bye week and will play in a best-of-three series to start the playoffs. 

The Condors’ playoff berth is their fifth since moving to Bakersfield in 2015.
