Stanislav Svozil Scores Teddy Bear Toss Goal For Cleveland Monsters
The Cleveland Monsters held their annual Teddy Bear Toss game to benefit local charities throughout Northeast Ohio on Sunday, December 22, 2024. For those who don’t know, the Teddy Bear Toss game is a time honored tradition in hockey where after the home team scores their first goal of the night, fans throw stuffed animals onto the ice in celebration.
It was a nail biter for over a period and a half as the Rochester Americans were able to keep Cleveland off the board. Fans anxiously awaited to throw their teddy bears on the ice.
Finally, with 6:22 to play in the second period, defender Stanislav Svozil one timed a pass from Rocco Grimaldi into the back of the net. As the horn blue, stuffed animals flew down from ever corner of the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
A franchise record of 21,859 stuffed animals were thrown on the ice by 15,303 fans. This is the largest attendance of the 2024-25 season and the fourth largest in franchise history.
